I've seen around here people asking for a kind of "After Effects" for Vegas. Personally, I guess After Effects is such a nice application, but its learning curve is definitely very, very difficult. That's what make After Effects someway counterproductive. Want an exemple? Let's see something: I've bought a pc magazine around here where I live, last weekend. Its name is Digital Designer. There, a famous video "consultant" teaches, or at least, tried to show how to animate a background for DVD with the help of After Effects. After 4 1/2 hours trying to follow the guide I gave up and got back to Vegas. I did the same thing, in 30 minutes. That's what make me think Vegas is too powerful and hence (I would say) there's absolutely no need for an "After Effects" for Vegas. I found everything I needed among its Video FX (just couldn't find a grid generator, but I made that with Photoshop). Cheers to Vegas. If you're curious...the outcome is on Chienworks' site http://www.vegasusers.com/vegshare/ (here instead of the grid for the background, you'll find another stuff - "news print" - still don't know how it will show on regular tv), but anyway, if you want, please look for the name cunhambebe-project_new_menu.
