Known problem? Or is it just me...

Is it just me....
If I drag one or more HDV, DV, MXF, or CineformHD coverted HDV clips into the timeline delete one clip then UNDO that action Vegas 10b, 10c, 10d (64bit) crashes.
I did fresh installs of each Vegas version just to check. And running Windows 7 Pro.

This does not happen, as far as I can tell, to plain vanilla 1920x1080 .avi clips in the Vegas 10d timeline. Those clips, by the way, were animation files rendered out of Particle Illusion.

None of these "UNDO" related problems happen in Vegas 9e. 64bit
I've tried using Keyboard stroke commands and Icon commands for Undo/Delete no difference as well.

Is this a Know problem?
Thanks!

Mark - Just tried it with a bunch of HDV clips on XP 32bit SP3. No problem doing exactly as you say. Don't have a 64 bit machine so I can't test that.

Thanks Kent. Just so weird that version 9e 64bit has none of these issues and it's on the same machine.

mp, I've posted about this on a few threads: others and I have confirmed that pasting and deleting Cineform avi and HDV events on/from a timeline will crash 10.0(d) 32- and 64-bit, but not 10.0(c) 64-bit (don't know about 10.0(c) 32-bit).

The (un)delete sequence sometimes needs to be performed multiple times, e.g., 5-7, to induce a crash, but IT DOES HAPPEN WITHOUT FAIL. Sometimes, just ONE delete event action will crash Vegas. Doesn't matter if just one event or many events are on the timeline. Low preview RAM and Preview window set to Full/Best makes the crashes occur sooner than later.

The key in our case is that the clips have at least one event-level non-Sony OFX applied. It could be just that one OFX, or that OFX in combination with other FX's. Take off only the OFX --> no crashes. Something bad apparently happened with c-->d, so far as Vegas handles OFX.

Thanks Steve.
With me I have no fx of any kind applied. I removed Boris CC7 and did a fresh install of Vegas, just to make sure, and applied NO filters of any flavor. As I said for me 10b, 10c & 10d 64bit all have this issue for me. And it has been just "one" Delete/Undo event that causes the crash.

I did try a simple DV 4:3 timeline and had no problems with that but as soon as I dropped a HDV clip and did the Delete/Undo it crashed.

I did drop my memory consumption down thinking that might help but from what you say I guess that doesn't really work.
