Kodak V1073 camera video looks great but 30.11fps

I have this little Kodak V1073 still camera which was only $149 at Sams Club and shoots pretty good looking 1280x720 video. The only problem is the frame rate is a little fast:30.11fps. When I try to render from it, I get ghosting that isn't in the original because of this. I can go to the media properties and slow it down, but the settings don't have enough precision to match the 29.97 fps of a typical 1280x720x30p hd project. Any ideas of how I can slow it down for an exact match to a 29.97 project?

Rather than trying to type in the speed, it might be better to stretch it instead. For example, if you shoot 40 seconds' worth you'd have either 1204 or 1205 frames. At 29.97002997 this should last 40 seconds and 5 or 6 frames. Position the cursor that extra 5 frames past the end of the event, then Ctrl-drag the end to the cursor. This should match the source frames to the project frames exactly. Turn off resampling to avoid ghosts all together.

I still wish Vegas had an option to automatically adjust the source clip to the project frame rate. It would be nice to say "i don't care what frame rate this file says it is, play it back as if it was recorded at 29.97002997 fps!"
