Hi MatxD, welcome to the fourm. There are many threads discussing your issue. Use the Search link at the top of the page to find them. There are a few recent ones so just go down the index and I'm sure you'll come across one.
However, if you will provide as much information as possible in your request, we can help you better. You need to let us know what version of VMS (I bet you have v10) you have and what type of video you have on the timeline.
Lowering the preview window quality and size is the first place to start. If you've added video FX to either the track or events, that will slow it down too.
Most importantly, we need to know what kind of camcorder your video came from. (AVCHD, for instance, can require a good quad core or i7 processor to play smoothly.)
And then we need to know how fast your processor is, how much RAM you have and what operating system you're using.
Hi,
I have a Acer EmachinesE527, 3 GB DDR3 Ram, T3300 Intel Celeron Processor -.-, 250 GB HDD and a 15,6 HD LCD Screen.
I recording a game called Dark Orbit, and using Hypercam 2.

The issue is most likely related to Hypercam 2 and the codec it's using to create the video file. Often these on-screen recorders use proprietary codecs that don't translate well into a video editor.
If you'd like to see what codec this file is using, open the video in a free program called G Spot. http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
Once we know what the codec is, it may help us figure out how to convert it into an editable video.
Or it may not. Unfortunately, many of these programs create video that doesn't digest well in standard video editors.
