Is that video clip a MXF format? Because currently some users are having issues with this format on the timeline, however the development team is on it........ Also, have you restarted your system after the update?

 

MP4 format in 4k. Also notice that the pan/crop feature is really slow. If I go out of Vegas to look at another program for instance, getting back into vegas gives me the blue wheel for such a long time.

I'm certainly not seeing this, dragging is instant and pan/crop is fast as I can turn it.

Here you can see how long this is taking. All I've done is gone from my explorer and back into Vegas. Then I go out again, grab an event and bring it back into the timeline. This is taken well over a minute to just drop an event into the timeline. No way I can edit like this. Hope there is a simple fix.

Ok, well its not what i was thinking.

Go into the Preferences option and select Close media files when not the active application and see if it behaves better.

Genius... That seems to have fixed the issue. I can now drag an event into the timeline and it's instantly there without the wait. Thank you so very much.

Strange especially as you have a top spec machine, I get no real change in performance whether the box is checked or not. Normally I keep it unchecked to stop Vegas closing media files.
