A little late to be asking, isn't it? ;)

I have no idea what "9 cell" means. Otherwise, you've got about twice the laptop i do, and i run Vegas 7 on mine just fine.

I'll build my own external from newegg.
like a 7200 rpm usb2

I believe usb 2.0 is faster than firewire???

Chien,
yea a bit late but the prices change constantly and it was lower than like 3 days ago.

I had it saved in my card on dell and when I went back it was gone.
Then I noticed the prices had changed.

It seems like a good enough deal considering other pc's are about 100 bucks more (laptops I mean).
C-city had one for about 100 dollars less (acer) but it was a rebate so I passed. Last 2 rebates I sent in I never got!!!! I'm still pissed about that : )

I just wanted to make sure the laptop was descent and didnt know if you guys would say "NOOOOOO! cause then I would cancel my order".

Well as maybe it's not too late.
I hear there'll be some better laptops available real soon built around the T7800 and T7900 CPUs. If nothing else they'll be less power hungry.

"I believe usb 2.0 is faster than firewire???"

USB2 has a maximum bitrate of 480 megabits/second, Firewire is 400 megabits/sec. However, in practical use, Firewire is faster. Firewire uses DMA, which doesn't involve the CPU. USB2 relies heavily on the CPU and is actually slower.

Ditto what John said.
