I'm in need of a new computer system to run Vegas 8 along with imagry from the EX-1. Suggestions for either a laptop option or a desktop would be appreciated. I would like a machine that works well (probably will be running XP-pro) and will be good for 2-3 years without spending a fortune.
I'm still editing on an old Dell laptop C810, 1.13 ghz with Vegas 5. So this will be a big change shifting to the SxS import aproach in HD.
Major reason for the laptop option includes the fact that I'm primarily a still photographer, and would like the laptop for my location work for downloading CF cards and uploading to WEB clients - replacing current system.
All suggestions appreciated - including external drives and DVD burner options.
