Laptop DVD playback software

My DVD's are looking great -
we'd like to present them on a laptop.

Can anyone suggest software that will allow typical DVD navigation?
UP, DOWN, RIGHT, LEFT, FF, FR, AND RETURN TO MENU?

The software we have (WinDVD) is basic, and really only allows video playback, as you might expect in a "Play Only" feature film.

I usually use Cyberlink PowerDVD because it usually comes free with every DVD drive. It supports just about any function that a set-top DVD player has and works quite well. My only gripe with it is that they tried to make the control panel as fancy and artistic as possible and it's very aggravating trying to remember what all the senseless pictographs on the various tiny buttons do. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. I wish there was a skin that would change the buttons to words like "Play", "FF", "Menu", etc. Then again, i wish this about most media playing software!

Alternatively, Microsoft's Windows Media Player 10 seems to handle all of the basic DVD playback functions and it seems to play back more smoothly and reliably than PowerDVD.

I use PowerDVD, but I'm relatively sure that WinDVD has all of the standard navigation features. If you are in full-screen mode, try right-clicking on the screen to get a context menu. If you're in windowed mode, then the control portion probably has all the buttons you need. It probably just has small pictures that don't make it easy to figure out what they do, but if you move your mouse over them they should tell you what they do.

Since my computer is about 2 years old, I think the WinDVD I've got, isn't up to snuff with the additional navigation controls that I need. So I checked out their web site and see that they also offer a PC DVD remote. Anyone have experience with this?
