Layout and Rendering Audio CD to yield individual audio tracks

I am trying to do the CD at once. Somehow I got it to work for the first one and think I have done the same thing for this second one, but it is not working. The CD renders ok as an audio cd, but it is all one track. I have used the lay out audio cd option and none of the tracks touch, but it still creates only one big track.

Are you trying to produce a music CD with Vegas Movie Studio which is a video editing programme? If so how are you doing this?

Usually I am just extracting a particular song so I just throw away what I don't want and render as mp3 and choose quality. Movie Studio can do a whole audio cd if one uses the layout audio cd option, give it regions for each track, then burn. My problem with this is the cd comes out all as one track instead of the actual number of songs.

Make sure you are using CD track regions (N) and not plain regions (R)

I used the drop down option under tools to lay out CD from events. The regions will says Traxck 1, 2, 3, and so on, but they render all as one track.
