Left edge flicker when using gaussian blur

I'm trying to figure out what causes a flicker (bright to dark), vertically on the left edge of still images that are treated with gaussian blur and keyframe animated.

I sometimes overlay a picture shot vertically, over itself, zoom in on the lower layer, crop to 4 by 3 and apply the blur. The top layer is the vertical image with some movement on it.

Sometimes, and not all the time, I get a flickering on the left edge and ONLY on the left edge. It doesn't happen to every image treated in this manner.

It looks like the shift between a darker left edge and a brighter left edge is spaced about 5 or so frames apart.

Technically the issue happens out of safe image on a 4X3 project, but HD sets overscan so you see it quite well.

Anyone have a thought?

projects with stills - my properties beside gaussian motion blur ,

rendering quality - best.

deinterlace - blend fields.

u can add deinterlace within the event or try Mike Crash smart deinterlace.
