length of auto crossfade

I am using VMS 6. I am trying to change the duration of the automatic crossfade when I drag multiple jpeg's onto the time line.

With the auto crossfade turned on the overlap is zero, just like it is when the auto feature is off!

Click on "Options" > "Preferences". In the window that pops up, click on the "Editing" tab.

The default overlap amount is set by the "Cut-to-overlap conversion (seconds)" setting.

There is also a tick box just above that:
"Automatically overlap multiple selected media when added".

That box needs to be ticked in order to get the automatic overlap when multiple items are dragged to the timeline at once.

Thank you for your quick response. I figured this out a few years ago, but a hard drive crash forced me to start again on my set-up!
