lens flare

for some reason i can't get the lens flare to appear...can you place one in an empty event, a text event or does the video event have to be something special?

You can place it on a text event as long as the background is not set to be transparent. If you are placing text over video or some other background, therefore needing the text background to be transparent then put the effect on the background event, not the text. -Shon
