Don't know about DVDA Studio but in DVD Architect 3 you can "edit source project" from the Explorer window. This will work between Vegas, Soundforge and Acid - you need to have the original projectfile.

Depending on what your "different sources" are and if you have Soundforge you should be able to adjust the audio there

No in this version you can only 'Insert', 'Play', 'Open in Player' from the Explorer View.
With SF8, I have applied a Normalise and a Volume increase to the files, but without really being sure the audio between them has been leveled...
If the volume meters in SF8 rise to about the same level, it this a sufficient indication to say that the general audio volume will be the same when played ?

Watching the volume meter may give some indication but will not be very accurate as you may be watching the peaks only

If you haven't , check out the SF help on "normalizing audio"
