Buy another copy of it.
However, if you want to run it on another computer (like your laptop instead of your desktop), install it and register it.
As long as it's not being run on two machines at the same time, Sony is OK with this.

From what i was able to locate today, these additional licenses was only offered to schools, and such as non-profit organisations.

Its not a problem at the moment however, but i'm sure the need for additional licenses grow, as i get a more stedy workflow. It would be grath if other members of the editing team didn't have to pay full price, also considering how expensive pro is.

The bottleneck i'm trying to avoid, is exactly the need to convert/render and re-render projects. The bonus would also be, that other members of the team, would be able to open my project files. If they can't afford Pro i'm forced to render a given project, and have them re-render it with modifications from their editing software. I'm not sure if platinum can open project files from Pro, but it would be grath if it could.

Don't get me wrong, i do not care about the quality loss from re-rendering, since i have yet to see an noticeable difference. But the extra time required to render, is something i would gladly avoid if possible.

Sony is unclear about this, because at the link you posted, they express that i can purchase a separate license for each computer. Which was also the understanding i had when i brought Vegas Pro.

The question is if thats true, where do i buy such extra licenses. And would they only alow me to use the software, or would it allow other members of the editing team to use it from my "studio" and/or their homes as well?

B&H is selling Vega sPro 8 by itself (DVD Architect not included) for $129.95.
This means that, if you wanted to do any DVD authoring, you'd still need the full version of Vegas Pro 8.

I'm not sure if platinum can open project files from Pro...

Pro can open Platinum files but it doesn't work the other way.

Contact Customer Service and ask them.
As mentioned above though, it's probably cheaper to buy it elsewhere.

As I said earlier, as long as it's not being used on two computers at the same time, it's OK. I have it installed on my work machine and my home computer as I work on material at home quite a bit.
