Limit on number of pics imported?

Hi All

Is there a limit to how many pictures can be imported into a project? Is there a file size for pictures one should try to stay within? My project (a graduation video) has 300 photos, and I have imported 209, and when I select the rest they don't show up! I logged out & rebooted & tried again w/same results. I haven't imported the music yet either, so am worried.

It shouldn't be a problem. I can recall i project i did in VideoFactory 2 that had about 690 pictures and music. I'm sure i've done projects with more pictures than that.

It's possible that the size of your pictures is a problem and your computer is running out of memory to display them. What size are they? If they're much bigger than the frame size (655x480 for NTSC) then you're wasting pixels and hogging memory unnecessarily.

They are mainly 4 x 6, 200 dpi scanned pics. In Photoshop I save them at 6 (medium sized files). I discovered my son's computer can manage them fine, so I also suspect memory issues on my system.
