Limited MPEG Layer 3 Options

I have been expirementing with DivX in VV 2.0 and was looking at the MPEG Layer 3 Audio options. It seems it only goes upto 56KBits 24,000 Hz Stereo. To me this seems odd. Is there any other way to set it higher.

I ask because programs like VirtualDub allow MP3 sound well above that. I want to be able to record at least CD quality audio.

The clip I am using is a Mini DV clip captured with the DVSoft codec.

Thanks
Kevin

Using Vegas' own mp3 encoding, you can go up to 320Kbps. The Ligos MPEG plug-in that we use allows for bitrates up to 384Kbps, with 48Khz response.

Just found the problem. Did a repair and the MPEG layer 3 options increased.

I guess Video Factory Demo messed things?

It now goes to 320Kbits / 48000 when I do a video render. much better :)
