If I add Video Event FX to a clip, there is always an unedited line, if I dont add any effects the line is not there. Can someone help!

Without making a stab in the dark, l/we need to know a little bit more. What FX? Do you have any FX Bypass activated?

Make sure SPLIT SCREEN VIEW is disabled.
