Live Input Monitoring in Vegas 5.0?

Hello,
I would like to use Vegas in lieu of Protools LE for some projects. I have a mixer template set up in Protools LE with aux channels set up for live monitoring. Works very well as a virtual mixer. Protools chases my Logic machine (which is for midi and virual instruments / samplers). I can monitor is real time with effects on the Protools LE inputs (either inserted or via fx busses).
Can I set up Vegas to do the same thing using busses?

I just tried the demo. Seems the only way to live input monitor is through a track. Which means the monitored input will be recorded with other tracks.
To bad you can't assign an input directly to a buss.

Correct. There is no input to bus routing in Vegas.
