Loading and saving pan/crop mask presets using a script

@jetdv Hi Edward. I wonder if you can help me. I want to be able to create pan/crop mask presets from a group of events in a project that have masks. The reason I want to create a script is this.
When VP is upgraded, the existing pan/crop masks (which I've created) don't get copied over because they're stored in the registry, which I don't want to delve into. I have a project that has generated media events, each having one of my masks. In the new VP, I have to open the project and go through each event saving the mask as a preset.
I've looked in the API and I can only find how to get a collection of presets, not how to save them.
I suspect that there's no way of doing this, but I thought I'd ask you for a definitive answer.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately scripts can't see the "mask" part of Pan/Crop.

Toolbar organization, pan/crop & mask presets, track motion presets, etc:

VP20 and later.

To export, in Regedit go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VEGAS Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\22.0\Metrics\Application

In the left corner of the Window. Right-click the Application folder and click Export. Save wherever you like. To import in the future.

To import: First, open the .reg file with Notepad and change the "22.0" file to "23.0". Save it. Now, just run it.
