loading interface cannot get past "creating video plug-in factory"

Hey everyone,

I just started using sony vegas again after quite some time and upon launch, the loading interface appears which is this:

https://gyazo.com/cacfa16a687cc406d0e45ae70f4eaa66 Note: this is not my actual interface, just found this particular one on google images. I uninstalled mine so had to improvise.

When mine was attempting to load, it got to the dialogue of "creating video plug-in factory" before the interface dissapeared and nothing else happened afterwards. Sony vegas would not appear and I cannot get past this. Not sure why i am getting this error but I was just wondering if anyone else had an issue like this in the past. I was browsing some articles online where it told me to reset sony vegas to scratch (I would have to go into my C drive and remove some files here and there but lost on where to begin if that is the correct path to take). Just simply uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix the problem for me. I use sony vegas pro 13 by the way.

I hope my question makes sense and thank you all in advance for any help I can get.

I've also run into this problem after upgrading from Vegas Pro 15 to 16. The crash report suggests the problem is a conflict with my Ignite Pro OFX plugins, which I'm not willing to uninstall. Everything works fine in VP15.

You probably should reinstall Ignite Pro.

For reference, Magix support suggested I uninstall the plugins included with VP16 (BorixFX and ProDAD), turn off GPU acceleration, and then try re-installing the plugins. That worked, and now my VP16 is working fine.

You are using Vegas 13, so most of Magix Vegas suggestions may not help. Tell you what, to save yourself a lot of run around, simply uninstall all your Vegas plugins (since not knowing which plugins you have installed), then simply do a fresh installation of your Vegas 13. Hopefully you should be ok now.
