Locking 2 Composited Tracks for Track Motion?

is there a way to lock two tracks together such that track motion on one will move both?

Specific example: I have a track with an alpha channel section that allows the track below it to show through. I'd like to pan/zoom around via either pan/crop or track motion on the outer track. But I'd like the track below to move accordingly in the see-thru portion. (i.e. the view 'through the portal' remains constant).

Is this possible? I tried parent/child stuff, but it didn't appear to do what I needed.

Thanks.

Make both your composited tracks children of a new parent track, then you can cn control both with 2D or 3D track motion of the parent track.

Use the Parent Motion controls on the left of the track header.

Thanks, Gary. I figured it had to be there. After a year and a half of using Vegas I'm still finding all the bells and whistles.

Thanks again.
