locking composite levels for specific clip

Hello all, I'm new to the Vegas Movie Studio software. I really like the composite level feature to show more than 1 video source. I've edited a segment of the primary video source and the levels are set. When I move the selected video media along the timeline, the composite level does not move with it. Please advise.

Under the options menu is an option to Lock envelopes to events. This may take care of your problem.

Something possibly simpler: if you are using a constant composite level throughout the entire event, it might be easier to simply reduce the opacity of each event to the desired amount. Hover the mouse pointer along the top edge of the event and it will change to a hand with a 'grabby' finger. Drag down and a blue opacity line will appear, which can be set to any value from 0 to 100%. This is applied to the event itself so it stays with the event no matter how you move or alter it.

The downside is that it's constant; you can't keyframe changes to the event opacity level.
