That did it, thanks a lot! Another question, I want to use the speech program with XP. My microphone is pretty awful, I was wondering if there was a program which could record the sound... without having to play it through the speakers and record it on a mike. Is this possible? Thanks

Hi Elias,

If you are recording to PC with a speech application, you may be able to open the files right in Vegas.

If not, you may be able to record the windows mixer output by changing the recording settings in the windows mixer> record>properties to "wave-out mix". Then you could record to a track in Vegas while playing the audio file in the other app.

I can do this in WinME, I cannot say if it will be an option in X-Pee.

All I seemed to be able to find was the master volume control for windows, not the mixer. However, with creative record studio I set the input to "what u hear" and that did exactly what I wanted.
