Is there any way in Vegas to print (on paper) a customized list from the media pool? Media Manager doesn't help, it doesn't even keep the comments when you drag a clip into the media pool. I find it strange that after this many iterations of upgrades that that has never been an issue in these forums as far as I can find.
I was using SCLive for capturing SD clips and it had the ability to add comments that would actually transfer over to Vegas as a "video capture comment." I could also export a delimited file to Excel and then print a tape log. The only reason I didn't like this way was because SCLive was actually changing the AVI file by adding the comment. It wasn't much of a problem except changing the capture date.
Now with HDV files I'm back to square one with file logging. I just downloaded 9.0e and will probably upgrade, but I still need a solution. How do the rest of you log files? I really just want a file name, comment, tape name, and duration, (in and out points are useless with HDV) and printed on paper. Is there a script out there I haven't found yet?
