just got an email from apple...logic 8 and logic 8 express are out...
i have logic express 7...it's ok but not a big fan of the interface and the general quirks...maybe if i was a musician it would make more sense but i have always done radio production so was introduced to vegas pro 1.0 way back when and that is my comfort starting point...

it looks like they cleaned up the interface and made it hopefully more intuitive...$99 for the express upgrade...
