I saw it at IBC 2007 Amsterdam. And had a great opportunity to speak with the Madison Team.

The Vegas Stand WAS the biggest NLE Stand I saw at the show. At last this, year 2007, SONY Vegas was Front and Centre within in the SONY "campsite" - Look over your shoulder - left - you saw a full range of Sony Cameras - and yes FrigidNDEditing , one of your XDCAM XE cams was there! And in front of you, on a RAISED, 3' high STAGE, you could see the SONY guys Gary and Michael doing their thing with Mixing Console + ProType Titler + Digital Signage.

Sony Vegas Pro8! I can see people having "other" NLE's will now, with ProType, spending more time within the Vegas Workflow.

You mean it was the biggest NLE stand in the Sony campsite?

I've seen photos of the other NLE stands at IBC and they had a lot more than two people manning them.

I know what I "mean", thank you very much!

And I did NOT say manning - I said "doing their thing". Actually, I can now count from memory, a further 7 Madison people there. Of which no less than 3 maybe 4 of them were the engineers!! Ah yes, plus the European Sales Director too.

On each side there were open display sites/plinths "manned" by 2 engineers that were CONTINUALLY fielding questions. At one of these sites I witnessed a Japanese group of Broadcasters getting personal attention from one of the team doing translations between the visitors and one of the SONY engineers.

After striking up an impromptu conversation with 2 Germans, while on the train going to the IBC, I was able to get one of the SONY engineers to speak with a chap from a Berlin back office network IT specialist house AND was able to get one of the engineers to speak directly with a UK engineer for a Test and Measurement company.

The level of "reach" and exposure that the Madison-SONY team was genuinely offering to the public was outstanding!
