LONG render

I remember when I used to download the demo for sony vegas 8 it used to work fast and fine. But when I got Sony Vegas Movie studio 9, it takes a long time to render. The program crashes for no reason. And last night it took me an Hour, yes, 1 hour, to render 2 minutes worth of stuff. why is it so slow. I got a Vista with 320GB and 1024 RAM. is something wrong with the program

Is your project heavy on effects? Do you use a slow codec to render?
Hint: open one of your old vms8 projects in vms9 and render. See how long it takes.

as far as i know i was rendering normal. cause even if i render in really low quality it still takes as long.

If you have high resolution still images in your project, you might want to use a image program to resize them under 2048 pixels. This used to be a bug in the past.
