hm...forum dweller roger_74 said he was going to release a script that would create the effect of camera shake. Did this ever come to pass? I suggested this to satish as a plug-in, but I guess it was too simple. :-)

Wow. On EVERY beat?

Well, you could look at the film effects plugin -- there's a "jitter" element in the "enable particles" list. You could turn that on/off with key frames. You could also do it manually with the pan/crop or tracking.

Hope it's a short song : )

...yes, short and slow ...

I've done something that could be used (restraintfully) for your purpose. I'm not on my regular PC now /it died last week), but if you search this forum for <gong transition> you should find a link to an example in one of my posts.

It's the wave FX used with keyframes to create a cartoon-like blow on the head.

I realize this example is rather crude and extreme, but is this at all the sort of effect you're looking for?

I created a very short video (14 frames) with generated media, solid color white, that flashes and dims. I used this as a displacement map and pasted the clip at each beat.

The music is "Electro Dreamscape", an 8-Pack by James J. Gallagher, May 9th 2002.

This looks good Chienworks. I can certainly built on it. The other suggestions were great as well.
