Looking for feedback on my first video project

this is my first try at shooting digital video and using video editing (VV3) software. this is from a halloween local music show. i might edit this some more (more cuts sync'd to the audio, etc). i'm open to any suggestions since i'm new to this.

WARNING: you might catch a middle finger and f-word on a shirt.

if you have a slow connection and some patience, right-click on the 512K link and do "Save Target As..."

In my humble opinion this is the best music video I've seen posted yet -- perfect pacing, never lost my interest. Great and judicious use of slow-mo, unexpected cuts that left the last scene fading in my mind and blasted the next one in. You did a great job of getting the participants to mug for the camera -- no false moments in the whole thing. In the very beginning I was worried you were going to use the old film effect on the whole thing, but you rocketed out of that quick enough to keep me watching!

I liked it a lot, but I was wanting to hear the band that was playing on the video. I'm assuming that the person singing wasn't the guy who looked like Chip from My Three Sons who was singing on the footage.

Nice camera work and really nice cuts.

I liked it overall. Yours is the kind of video where you can get away with going a little crazy with special effects. For example in a couple of the wilder scenes you could drop in the color curves filter and go extreme which would give you psychedelic
colors, but do it only for up to ten seconds on so.

Also I would throw in a couple of the more funky transitions and consider using the new pluginPac 3D LE filter to change the prespective, even flip the dancers on their head or just distort them a bit. Aain, if you do it, just a for a few seconds.

While I looked at the 512K version the overall levels still seem a little flat. I would consider dropping the Gamma just a bit and pushing up input start on the levels filter, to go for a harsher look. I agree with tserface, I wanted to hear the actual band.

thanks for the feedback on this. the problem was it was actually 4 different bands in the video, so i couldn't sync up audio. my next project i want to tape a band live and put it to their studio recording.
