Looking for sound sample...

Looking to finish off a project...

Would anyone know where I might be able to get a (good quality) sound sample of a single bass drum hit. Nothing more, nothing less. I know if I had Acid I could make this in pretty short order. It's for an orchestral peice and while I have many other samples, I do not have this one. I have one with reverb, but that is not what's needed here.

Just looking for a single bass drum hit.

Any ideas?

Acid Planet has free 8 packs every week. Worth getting just for things like this.
If you've got the sound you want but with reverb you should be able to just cut the decay off it with Vegas using a volume envelope. Wouldn't satisfy a purist but could be close enough for your purpose.

Ok, our local school orch director has a couple of amazing bass drums and a Zoom H4. If you want, I'll grab you some hits and email you a .wav file. Let me know this week.

I did precisely that setup with some chimes a few weeks ago. Zoom H4 and all. Worked great.

I didn't think to get the bass drum while I was there. :( I may just go and do that.

So obvious, I didn't think of it. :)
