looking for speakers to go with HT Omega Claro Hal

I upgraded my sound card to the HT Omega Claro Halo sound card, currently using with the Logitech Z-5500 5.1 surround system. The sound card is awesome with headphones, but I'm not as happy with the speaker sound.

I do some gaming, but mostly I use the speakers for listening to music. I'm interested in getting some good speakers (probably 2 or 2.1) that will work with my sound card and provide excellent sound. Suggestions?

Go to your local 'stereo' stores with material you are familiar with and audition as many speaker systems as possible. You probably would not be happy with 'pro audio' speakers because most do not 'hype' the high and low frequencies as most consumer type speaker systems do. I suggest a system with a sub-woofer .. 2:1 or 5:1 system.

Why would I not be happy with pro audio speakers?

On another forum, someone suggested I look at getting a pair of Audioengine A5+. There is a subwoofer that you can also get with them. Do you know anything about them?
