Hello,

First post here - I'm a long time user of Vegas but brand new to HD. I recently got a Canon HG10 and upgraded to Vegas Pro 8. My system is a P4 3ghz, 1 gig ram, and it just doesn't cut it. I'm not as concerned about rendering times as I am the system not even able to preview off the timeline in more than 5 fps in "draft" mode. I'm thinking of building a Q6600 based (quad core) system with 4gig RAM... and I'm wondering if this is up to the task. Of course, video card and motherboard recommendations are also welcome.
