You might try increasing the height of the fx window. Sometimes it gets resized and the keyframe line doesn't show.
Put your cursor at the top of the fx window and you'll see it change shape. Click and drag up the top of the frame. This may take care of the problem for you.
If you look back not too far in this forum, you'll see a discussion.
Actually, the problem is that the KF area is hidden. Hover over the bottom of the screen and when the cursor turns into parallel lines, drag up to reveal the KF area.
I've had this issue since V7 and nothing I've tried will fix it - not even a reset to defaults or a full remove/reinstall. Reported it and SONY couldn't duplicate it.

Thanks for your helpful suggestions. But, unfortunately that is not the case. I could, and did expand the window to full frame. Just a lot of blank space where the keyframer should have been.
Un-installing and re-installing VegasPro8 restored the keyframer to the Video Event FX window. Other windows that use the keyframer were not affected.
Lee, the cause is unknown as it's inconsistent.
The cure is to do as Tom suggested.
It works for me so it should work for you too.
Place your cursor below the bottom of the FX window and then slowly move it up.
It'll change from the cursor to a two-headed arrow to a set of parallel lines with small arrows on the top & bottom.
When you see these lines, left-click and drag it up and you'll see the Keyframer.
You were right on! I did not realize that what looked like the bottom of the window was indeed the divider between the FX window and the keframer portion of the window. It just looked like the frame of the whole window.
Shame on those software writers. They should have another couple of lines that show that there is another window being covered up! Are you listening SCS??
Thank you very much for your detailed explanation!!
