Lost File

After updating from VMSPlat 7 to VMSPlat 8 a work in progress project transferred perfectly with the exception that a few still photos were "lost".
Whenever I open the project a lost file window opens advising that these files can not be found. This is simply resolved by ticking "Ignore all files and leave them off line". While that is not much of a hassle, can anyone suggest another way of getting VMS to permanently ignore the files.
The "lost" files are still on the directory in question and I have deleted the originals and re-saved copies of them just to be sure. In addition, I am no longer using the files anywhere in the project.
Just seems a bit odd that VMS objects to not being able to find a file that is not in use.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Perhaps you have some media that is listed in the Project Media tab that isn't actually used in your project which is causing this problem. Do the following to clear unused media from Project Media.

1. Open your project.
2. Click the "Remove All Unused Media From Project" button in the upper left of the Project Media window (looks like a lightning bolt).
3. Save your project.

If this was the problem, re-opening the project should no longer show the missing files error.

Thanks for jumping in ForumAdmin, just wish you would do it far more often. I often wonder if you (a Sony Rep) ever really check these boards. With all your knowledge and resources, you could easily clear up so many issues and concerns with a single post. I think it is sad to think that you read these posts and know exactly what to do to resolve the issues, and say nothing. Anyway, don't take this as 'bagging' on you. I really am glad to see you participate here, and appreciate it. I am only hoping you will do it more often for the good of all of us. Thanks. Cin
