Lost Render option Sony AVC

I just reloaded Windows 7 and all my programs including Vegas Pro 11. When I went to render my first video since the rebuild, I seemed to have lost the option to render as Sony AVC. I normally render .m2ts

I read in the forums that some codecs were in only in DVD Architect, so I loaded that up, rebooted the computer but I still don't have the Sony AVC option.

I've purchased numerous versions of Vegas (7,8,10 and now 11). Previously I had just installed version over version. However, for the reinstall, I skipped right to version 11. Was the Sony AVC in a previous version?

Sony AVC render options have been in there since at least V8 .. But that codec should load with Vegas 11 .. no other version or program should be needed to load it. It should be there.

I seem to recall that there was some issue like this caused by the initial relaease of the NewBlue titler. Do you have the latest build of Vegas and the latest version of the Titler?

Hi guys! Yes, WillGill is right. Since I updated my software to build 521 (64bit, windows 7 x64) I also lost Sony/AVC rendering option. There was indeed an issue initially with this codec in version 11 but Sony fixed it later with updates. In the previous build of Sony Vegas Pro 11 there was not such a problem. The issue came up again by updating to build 520/521. Hope there will be a solution soon.
