In 9.0a. At least one other user (dxdy) is reporting a LOUD POP when 2 volume envelope points reside on the same 90 degree angle.
See Dxdy post in this thread
I reported this to SCS early in the 9.0a release. Here's what they said:
We recommend making a drastic duck such as the one shown in your screen shot so the envelope crosses the zero line at the same point the audio wave crosses the zero line. In any version of Vegas, if I create a drastic audio duck where the audio does not cross the zero point, I am hearing the same pop noise. This is due to the dynamics of the audio being changed drastically at a point where the audio does not cross the zero line.
This is easily solved by moving one of the envelope points off the 90 degree angle (even slightly) so I left this problem alone but since someone else has hit it -- I"m curious --- In my case, the pops do show up in the render. These POPS are LOUD and not just the difference in audio dynamics. Can't reproduce this in 9.0 or other lower versions. I think its something in 9.0a ...
Can anyone else reproduce this in 9.0a?
