Love 4! - <b>Absolutely On Topic</b>

I just wanted to say that I have just done what I call a primary "rough" cut of about 1 hours footage. It took me 20 mins!

IMHO: This is down to the "Shuffle" edit; the ease with which I can copy and paste clip attributes; shuffle overlap/s; some of the new script routines; the TABS at the bottom of the screen AND me getting my head around the Contour Shuttle Pro.

Of course this is very basic stuff - but, it is the actual "solid" feel of the software that has made me confident to experiment. - This is the only downside!!! I get waylaid by the "Ooh . . what would happen if I did that?" - and another hour goes by! - Joking apart, I am having such a fine time with this NLE, I wish it was widely known in the UK. - SoFo get some promos going here - eh?

Grazie

I too am loving VV4. Spent many hours learning keyframing the last 3 days and am blown away by the power of it. I am managing to crash it but it restores to the exact place it went down. And the "Ooh . . what would happen if I did that?" factor. Yes, me too, with some very satisfying results.

Ocean - Vegas4 is great! Keyframing is a very professional fucntion. Much to do here. Have you tried the Copy/Paste within the mini K/F timeline yet? MASSIVE!

Ocean are you using the V4 downloadable manual?

Hi Ocean,

You might check the hardware accelleration in your display settings, that may help the crash issue.

Grazie,
No, I didn't realize it was possible to copy and paste within the mini K/F timeline. I'll try it and thanks for pointing that out. I have been using that area for tweaking the K/F's though. Really convienient.

I have the Vegas 3 manual from eBooks. I printed out a copy of "Learn to use the New Features of V4" and made notations in the bound copy refering to the changes. I thought that would do it. Do you think it's worthwhile to print out the new manual from the CD?
