Low GPU Capabilities error message

I just upgraded from Vegas Movie Studio 11 Platinum to Vegas Pro 11.

I am running it on an HP Laptop DV6T Quad Core with Intel i7-2760QM CPU @ 2.4GHz, 8 GB DRAM, and a 2 GB Radeon HD 7690 XT graphics card.

When I try to use the NewBlue Tltler Pro in Vegas Pro 11 I get an error message saying that I can't use NewBlue Tltler because I have low GPU capabilities, yet my graphics card appears to be compatible according to this page on the Vegas Pro website: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro/gpuacceleration

Could someone please help me because I upgraded specifically to be able to use NewBlue Titler.

You need to go into your graphic card settings and make sure it runs when you launch V11. I had the same problem with my Nvidia card because on a lower power (non-high performance) setting, it would use the Intel graphics which has no GPU capabilities. Not sure how the Radeon cards handle it but for the Nvidia card, it was located in the "Manage 3D settings" section where I could input Vegas11.exe and force it to use my Nvidia, not the intel card.

I have the same laptop. I had to go into BIOS and turn off the dynamic GPU changing. Setting vegas to the AMD GPU in the catalyst control panel did not work.

Turn off GPU video accel in vegas. It does not increase performance with this GPU but does reduce stability. New Blue will still use the GPU.

Thanks for the tip! Here is what worked for me:

Nvidia Control Panel
Manage 3D Settings
Program Settings Tab
Select a Program to Customize
Add . . . then choose your executable file. In my case this was c:/blahblahblah/vegaspro110.exe

Seems to be working, no crashes so far : )
