M-Audio 410 for use with Vegas Pro 8

Hi, I'm looking to do some computer upgrades. Does anyone use the M-Audio 410 with Vegas, and if so, does it work well?

(I am bound to using M-Audio brand hardware for this upgrade, so don't bother suggesting alternative brands, just want to know about the M-Audio 410 and possible the 1814).

Been using 410 for years from v 4.0 all the way up to v 7.0 (2000 and XP Pro). With 8 it shouldn't be problematic, either.

Got it use ad love it. Mine has been switched ON for over three years now and never a problem. The control panel is a bit over complex with servo knobs but otherwisr great.

I'm currently using a Digi001 (that came with Pro Tools), and the 410 seems to be pretty similar in features (just less inputs).

The digidesign driver is really strange and flakey though. I can never use two apps at once.

When using the 410, are you able to say... work in Vegas, using the 410 as your sound card, render something, then view it/hear it in windows media player without first closing Vegas?

With the Digi001 I need to close Vegas before opening Windows Media Player or other app, as the Digi001 won't play audio for more than one application at the same time.
