M-Audio ProjectMix I/O with Vegas Pro 9 (64bit)

I'm newly loaded up with all the SONY Software and happy with it. I'm only sing a M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB interface, which works fine. I WANT to add the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O w/power faders and lots of I/O's and minimal hardware decisions to make, but way better than a mouse.

Question: Does anyone have experience with M-Audio mixers/Interfaces? I see good reports about Echo and several others, but I want to gather help in choosing the best value/feature product and I already like M-Audio overall.

M-Audio suggests Pro Tools M-Powered, Live, Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer and SONAR. Can anyone offer me some assurance about M-Audio's ProjectMix I/O for use with SONY?

Thanks,
Tom

Audio works fine with all of them, as with any app.

May take a bit of fiddling to get the faders working though, as no preset for that device in External Control. devices - you'd have to configure a generic device, assuming that it is accessible via MIDI.

Unless you can find somebody who has already done the leg-work, or it can mimick a Mackie....

The Project Mix has a MCU emulation mode. There is no need to use the Generic Control driver.

Here is a YouTube Video for Vegas 7, but the procedure outlined is essentially the same.
