m2ts files not importing

Hi

Just bought a new Canon HD camcorder. About one in every 8 files shows up as an error when I try to import it into my version of Vegas Platinum 8.0.

Is this common? Should I convert those files to mpeg or avi or some other codec to get them in? Is there a trick to making this work?

Any info appreciated.

Vegas Platinum 9 has many AVCHD compatibility fixes. What you should do:

1. First make absolutely sure you run the latest version of Platinum 8. Check the updates.
2. If this still doesn't work, you should install the v9.0b version in parallel to your v8 version, and give it a go. If Platinum 9 works, then you will have to upgrade.

Thanks Eugenia- I upgraded to VP9 and all files are importing nicely.
