I edit dvd m2v using a crude program.. It would be great if I could import them and edit them then save them out a m2v also. This would be much smaller than a rwa avi, and I could keep the quality. I have tried to convert to mpeg 2, but the quality is always sorry.

Is it possable to write a m2v plug in?
