m2v format unsupported as input

I created an m2v file to create a DVD. After VV3 rendered it, I tried to import the m2v file. I got an error message saying the format is unsupported. Am I doing something wrong or can't VV import files that it creates?

Hi,

m2v files are just MPEG2 movies, just rename them to .mpeg/.mpg and VV3 will recognize without a glitch.

m2v files are elementary video streams, and have been discussed in this forum before. SF has said Vegas will not import them perfectly, so they don't allow it to import them at all.
