You can try doing that, but be aware there is no audio in an m2v stream.

m2v is an elementary stream (before multiplexing)

mpeg is a program stream (after multiplexing)

generally speaking that is ...

you can convert ether one to the other with tmpgec mpeg tools or many other programs ..

vegas only takes program streams

I plan to take it into DVDA2 and I know that DVDA2 will take both m2v and mpg. I was just curious if I rename the m2v to an mpg file if there would be any conflicts during the multiplexing with the AC3 file for playback.
