I hope it's ok to post here. I'm simply polling to see if anyone is running Vegas or VMS with a system similar to mine (specs below). I'm trying to isolate whatever's causing my machine to lock up.

I'm not going to post my whole nightmare history with my particular PC trying to run VMS (and I think it's my machine, not VMS), because I posted that on the Movie Studio forum.

(basically, at inconsistent times, once even simply alt-tabbing to VMS, my machine will hard lock up on me)

However, I'm now down to the problem being either one or more of my power supply, my video card, or something like fraps, and I'd just like to find out if people are successfully running on similar systems.

Other software installed:
Fraps (the commercial version, to capture game video and model viewer events for overlaying some of my home movies);
.NET 2.0 and 3.0
TrendMicro PC-Cillin Internet Security 2007
