Hi Grazie,
The tornados hit about 7 to 12 miles south of Madison.
I was down their friday morning for work and the lab was down for the day one of the neighboring buildings was hit.
Stoughton, WI got hit the hardist, and all the bad stuff missed Madison.
amazingly, one person was killed, about 20 injured, which isn't much for the degree of devestaion. It was a real wide one, taking out a neighborhood in Stoughton. Check out madison.com and the channel 15 site (link there) for photos.
thanks for the concern!

Tornados hit north and south of us. In Madison, we just got a bunch of thunderstorms. Tornado sirens were going off all day, though. My Mom lives in Stoughton. She says she had sunshine and birds chirping while 3/4 of a mile away houses were being crushed and cars being flipped over.
Twenty-year veteran weathermen were saying they'd never seen anything like it.
I'm working with a Local band to put together a benefit concert in Stoughton for all the victims. Should be quite a show if we can work with the city of Stoughton and make this happen.
