According to Magic Bullet tech support, the nVidia 7800 GT card speeds up SD about 17 times and HDV about 6-7 times.

I don't have the hardware so can't confirm.

Very impressive though.

Dang, I have an nVidia 6800 GT, I don't think I can risk 200 bucks to see if the render is still horrible. Sure is tempting though.

That is a great question about render times. Will a stand alone (full version) render any faster? I love MB, but it takes too long to render.

There is no standalone version of MB 2 for Editors, just an upgraded version running inside Vegas, with hardware support that runs 14-21 fps playback with an nVidia 6800GT, ie. a 90 min. movie would take about 2 hours to render.

They have a card performance list at MB comparison.

I am not sure what day but Toolfarm will be offering this for 50% off - a one day sale. Now as they offer upgrades and they don't speccify that any specific version (upgrade/crossgrade/full) is 50% off I am sort of hoping the $99.00 download upgrade version is also 50% off. Hey call me cheap - But I could justify 50 bucks over $199.00 right now as I don't have the current supported Windows graphic card to make it run any faster.

Judging from their past half-off events, not likely...

I have the 6800GT OC. I wonder if that's what they are referring to in the comparison? Should be a difference between the GT and the GT OC I would imagine.

It'd be nice to finally have an application that takes advantage of hardware acceleration
(ahem...hint hint)
