Just got an email about the v2.5 update of Magic Bullet Looks and checked host compatibility and it's now officially compatible with VP 12 & 13. Until this update it was only officially compatible with VP 11 and I couldn't get it to work with VP 12. The update is free for all MBL v2 owners.
The integration is fantastic news - I was so sad when we couldn't use it in VP12. I thought RG had abandoned us...
Even though I as slightly unimpressed by many of the new features in VP 13 now that Hitfilm FX, MBL 2.5 and BCC 9 are available for VP 13 I think it was worth the upgrade. And even VP 12 users can use these plugins too!
What would really make my decade would be if RG made as many of their plugins as possible compatible with VP 12 & 13.
Mine worked fine in VP12. It is now broken in VP13 :(
The effect gives a partial screen and 2/3 black; and when I hit the edit I get a very pixilated partial screen with limited colors about 2/3 screen in the MBL preview window.
RG has suggested that I try turning off the GPU switch in MBL (not at the VP level). It is available under the sprocket at the top right of the MBL window. I'll try it later this afternoon.
BTW, I have a weak GeForce GTX 550 Ti (still Fermi though).
Wow, what a great update. The power mask capability and the blend feature rocks! There is still a bug from within the Looks interface when outputting to the Intensity card (the black levels jump) but I spoke with them at NAB and they said they were trying to fix it.
This is a STUNNING Update. Having spent hours exploring it, 205 just gets better and better.
Dumbo here . . . . Am I correct in thinking that the SKIN Mask is now newly added? Was this even IN the previous? - If now added this is a major Kick for Goal by RG.
I am having a major problem with the install of 2.5. It works for me with 8bit color space on project settings, but as soon as I go to 32 bit floating point (either video or full range) it only processes 1/4 of image. Can anyone else verify this problem?
