At the suggestion of somebody on this forum, I tried the MainConcept DV codec, demo version, to be used for rendering in VideoFactory. After some time, I uninstalled it. A few minutes after doing so, I tried to load an avi file in VirtualDub, and got the message: "Couldn't locate a decompressor for format dvsd (unknown)." Has the MainConcept codec uninstalled my original DV codec? Any ideas appreciated!
