is this plug in used for network rendering in mpeg format ?

don't think it's used for network rendering as the issue with mpeg is that they need to be stitched back together.

i can't find THAT page from their main store, so it might be something specific for certain users needs. how'd you find it?

From main page , click Purchase | Software menu item , Then you will see the Online Store Box , in that there is item called "Internal Store" click that link to come to Plug-Ins section .

What is the purpose of this Plugin "MainConcept MPEG-1&2 Professional" ?

it's one included with vegas pro. it might be for a 3rd party editing software like Premiere, I know that's why you can buy most FX/plugins separately from Sony.
